Body Image and Massage Therapy

Massage of face

Massage’s risk and benefit for body image Body image. Almost everyone dislikes something about their body. For many folks, it’s a small annoyance. However, some people have a serious problem with their body image.

It has an impact on how they live and how happy they are. I believe there are three options to examine. Let’s have a look at the risk against benefit for them.

1. Do not get a massage. This is the simplest because it requires no action. Because you are not allowing anyone to see or touch you, the risk is negligible. The payoff is nothing. You didn’t have a massage, so your body doesn’t feel any better, and you’re still stressed.

2. You get a massage, but the massage therapist either notices how you look or acts as if it matters.

I’m sorry if this has occurred to you. You got a lousy massage therapist. That’s unfortunate, and please accept my apologies. You took a chance and, even if the remainder of the massage was good, you got very little in return.

This is not going to happen if you come to me. Never. No way. I cannot emphasize this more. It contradicts who I am, how I treat others, and what I believe.

3. You get a massage. A wonderful massage, You will not feel self-conscious about your body. After the massage, you feel quite good about yourself.

Your risk is modest with this option. I don’t care how your body appears. That’s none of my business. I simply want to make it feel better. Your remuneration is substantial. Again, the massage will make your body feel better, and you will begin to feel better about it. I’m not sure how your body got into the state it’s in. You may be coping with something over which you have no control, such as a medical condition, an injury, or an accident. You may be in a lot of discomforts or have physical limitations. I can’t pass judgment on you because I don’t know what caused your body to change. I’ve worked on hundreds, if not thousands, of people. Each body is intriguing, and I’ve yet to come across one that I couldn’t help but like. If you’ve been avoiding massage because you’re self-conscious about your physique, let’s find a solution that works for you. You don’t even have to explain anything to me. Keep your clothing on. Stay sitting up, face down, sleeping on your side, or however, you wish. It’s entirely up to you. It’s my job to make you feel better. That’s all there is to it. Let us work together to find a solution to your pain and stress. Don’t let your body image prohibit you from feeling wonderful.
